Jumping Goblings (and such)

Happy Halloween everyone! Just a feature from McNeill Elementary.

The "Mountain" Comes to a Close

Chicago Tribune photojournalist Scott Strazzante takes part in the annual silly string ritual of the Mountain Workshops, sponsored by Western Kentucky University. After 10 days of building a 90-computer newsroom, processing more than 50,000 images, producing a book, a web site and a DVD feature, stress is released by attacking the last digital card drop with string and confetti. Friday Night Explosions

My niece was just a baby in my arms yesterday! Now she is on the field for homecoming. How time flies.

Maine in Review

As the Audio-Visual manager of the Maine Media Workshops this past summer I was afforded an opportunity to interview many talented individuals in the photographic business. Tim McLaughlin captured most of the stills used here while I conducted interviews, edited and produced this piece.

Harvest Sun

This is how summer should be - but not in October! Especially in Michigan.

What we needed to hear

On September 26 David Missall from Sennheiser visited my Intro to New Media class and gave a wonderful 2-hour lecture on how microphones work with different types of sounds. Thank you David. Thank you Sennheiser!

Welcome Jim!

Please join me in welcoming Jim Bye to our staff. Jim will be responsible for everything so we are glad he is here! So is Jeanie Adams-Smith. See her smile?
